Illinois Township Management Academy
Each year, the Illinois Association of Township Administrators along with the Center for Governmental Studies and the Department of Public Administration at Northern Illinois University organize the Illinois Township Management Academy. Four, three-hour seminars provide practical management skills tailored for those working in Illinois township governments.
The topics for this year include Tools for Managing Projects in Townships, Managing Yourself and Leading Others, Serving Older Residents Today and Tomorrow, and Intermediate Financial Management.
The sessions will be held on Friday, February 16th and Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at the NIU-Naperville campus. This year an in-person and remote option will be available for participants along with a recorded version. You can register for individual sessions or for the entire academy. Lunch is included for those who register for both morning and afternoon sessions in-person. Continuing education credits are available for those interested.
