Workshop Description
This workshop will cover community mental health crisis response offered throughout the region available to youth and all age groups in need of emergency psychiatric services.
Workshop Learning Objectives
- Identifying signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis
- Gain knowledge of appropriate clinical emergency response systems and eligibility for community response services
- Determine the best course of action and access appropriate clinical care
Speaker Bios
Rebecca Horwitz, MSW, LCSW, Manager of MCR/SASS with Kenenth Young Center has extensive experience as a child and adolescent therapist as well as coordinating SASS response to area hospitals, schools and other community partners.
Luke Lefever, MSW, LCSW, Deputy Director of Crisis Services with Kenneth Young Center oversees the crisis response services offered by Kenneth Young Center, including SASS, Pathways for Success, Mobile Crisis Response team and the recently opened Living Room.

- Includes a networking luncheon beginning at 12:15 pm
2.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded for Illinois Social Workers and Professional Counselors. Registration deadline is February 21, 2025.
