Workshop Description
This training will focus on innovative techniques, skills, and methods which staff can use when working with youth that utilize the performing arts to engage youth creativity while having fun.
Workshop Learning Objectives

Presenter
Michael Edgar Myers is an actor, educator, journalist, pastor, and teaching artist with over three decades of experience teaching teens and their educators. He specializes in employing humor and improvisation tools and has taught classes in middle and high schools and conducts communications skills among students at Loyola School of Law and the University of Notre Dame. He has toured with Wavelength Teacher Comedy and performed scenes and teacher training in over 1000 educational organizations in 49 states and overseas.

- Includes a networking luncheon beginning at 12:15 pm
2.0 Continuing Education clock hours will be awarded for Illinois Social Workers and Professional Counselors. Registration deadline is February 19, 2026.
